🧠 What is bipolar disorder? Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition marked by episodes of mood swings ranging from depressive (Low) to Manic (High). These mood swings are more severe than typical mood changes and can disrupt daily life.

🔄 Types of Bipolar Disorder

  • Bipolar I – Full manic episodes, often followed by depression

  • Bipolar II – Hypomania (less severe mania) and depression

  • Cyclothymia – Chronic mood swings, less intense but longer-lasting

Mania or Hypomania:

  • Rapid speech or thoughts
